You make a pledge to yourself to watch what you eat. But two hours later, you suddenly realize you&#8217;re sitting in front of the television, bag of potato chips in hand.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px"><em><strong>Now imagine the same scenario, yet this time you behave differently. </strong></em>You spend some time thinking about how to ensure you avoid potato chips and chocolate. You decide to take your junk food over to a friend&#8217;s house and leave it there. At dinner, you smile to yourself as you prepare to eat a salad and baked chicken because you plan to thoughtfully focus on eating healthy.</p>

Or do we persist firm and persist true to our inner most wants; to live a life of virtue and fulfillment &#8211; a life of responsibility&#8230; free from fears?</p>
<p>All of us may come up with someone else to fault or leastwise find someone else who&#8217;s some more faults than ourselves to take the attention off and pose ourselves in a good light. Making comparisons in this way seems to be fabricated into our DNA as well as hiding behind our fears.</p>
<p>When we think about our own lives, conforming to the line ‘I may not be perfect, but I’m not worse than the next individual’ seems all too familiar but behaving poorly or in a more improper way than what we would call for from others, compromises our own wholeness.</p>
<p>The idea that we&#8217;re ‘not as spoiled’ as someone else lets us  think that our own actions are okay and guardedly selecting someone with whom we can equate ourselves  only gives the backing we need to justify this to ourselves. It’s all truly handy correct?</p>
<p>This kind of behavior lets us skip out on being responsible for ourselves, to go on  acting badly or to just ‘put our head in the sand’ about specific matters. If our actions are ‘not as sorry’ as someone else&#8217;s, does that signify we&#8217;re correct?</p>
<p>Is it genuinely just when we commit an act we acknowledge as wrong, to not anticipate being held responsible for it? We oftentimes hurt others in ways we, ourselves wouldn&#8217;t enjoy happening to us and this is hiding behind our own fears.</p>
<p>As a matter of fact, a couple of life&#8217;s hardest examples can serve as vicious reminders that we have treated someone in some respects how we&#8217;d detest to be treated ourselves so how come do we do it? Why do we do something if we’re afraid to face the final result?</p>
<p>An acquaintance once gave me some of the finest, yet most simple-minded advice I’ve ever gotten &#8211; ‘don’t be sorry, just don’t do it!’ Its dandy advice that compliments that old adage of ‘Do unto others, how you&#8217;d have them do unto you’ and is a wonderful doctrine to live your life by.</p>
<p>Consider it, if you tell yourself this any time you’re mulling over lying to somebody, treating someone badly, speaking out of turn or doing something you shouldn’t behind someone else’s back &#8211; and let’s face it, 9 times out of 10 you’re going to get discovered, you’ll never have to be ‘sorry’ ever again.</p>
<p>If you don’t do the risky behavior in the first place, you won’t have the showdown with that individual, there will be no hoo-hah or judging, no relationship unsaved or tarnished and utterly no need to apologize, best of all &#8211; your scruples will always be clean and guilt free. It may be rather an easy way to undertake life but it most decidedly works. Alas, doing unto others, how you&#8217;d have them do unto you isn’t always assured in today’s society but you&#8217;re able to at least be responsible for your own actions. Passing off the fault only displays a cowardice and lack of value for yourself and everyone around you.</p>
<p><em><strong>We&#8217;re responsible for our own lives.</strong></em> No individual is precisely like us; not even an identical twin. Our seeds of joy are our own; our resolves are as unique as our fingerprints. Take responsibility for your own life and stop blaming your fears on others. Learn the right way to banish your fears and move forward today.</p>

<p>Time alone can either be embraced or eschewed. You might not have much opportunity for solitary moments, or perhaps you spend a lot of time alone and struggle with how to fill your hours.</p>
<p>Regardless of whether time alone excites or frustrates you, here are some ideas about how to make the most of your solitary moments:</p>
<p><em><strong>1.    Are you a movie buff?</strong></em> Being alone is the perfect opportunity to watch some films you&#8217;ve wanted to see.</p>
<p>•    To really make the most of your solitary time, keep a running list of the movies you want to see. Then you can select the ones that will provide you with the most enjoyment.</p>
<p>•    When you know you have some time alone coming up in your schedule, check out a couple of the movies at the library, rent them at your local movie rental store, or use your cable or satellite television services to view the films.</p>
<p>•    Feel free to pop some popcorn and grab your favorite beverage!</p>

<p><em><strong>9.    Exercise can really make the most of your alone time.</strong></em> As long as your doctor approves, you can start a fitness routine right away. You&#8217;ll get that sought-after buzz from exercising, improve your health, and look better too.</p>

When you live consciously, you&#8217;re no longer a victim of the wind, being blown about this way and that way by the circumstances of your life. <p><em><strong>The key to making certain things get done and done on time is by keeping the ball in your court.</strong></em> Here are a few hints on how you can do just that.</p>

<li><em><strong>Don&#8217;t take it off the list. </strong></em>Don&#8217;t cross items off of your &#8220;to do&#8221; list till the actual task itself is done.  For instance, if you have &#8220;call the doctor&#8221; on your list, what you actually mean is something like, &#8220;make an appointment with the Dr.&#8221;.  Don&#8217;t cross this off your list till your appointment is created and confirmed, not simply when you leave a message.</li>

<li><strong><em>Assign a date and time.</em></strong> If you&#8217;re depending upon vendors, staff, or acquaintances for something, ascertain specifically when you can anticipate action.  Then, let them know you&#8217;ll be following up at a committed date and time.  For instance, if you have a payload that your vendor promises will be sent out &#8220;this week&#8221;, ask them for a particular date, then call the vendor back at least one time prior to that date to make certain everything is on schedule.</li>

<h2><span style="color: #808000">Law of Attraction is a Universal LAW &#8211; it works perfectly, each and every time. </span></h2>
<p><em><strong>But, then Why is it that I so frequently get what I do NOT want?</strong></em></p>
<p>I know that when I first started my journey to self-development or inner enlightenment I wanted more than anything to understand &#8220;how&#8221; the law of attraction worked. I have always been considered a &#8220;positive&#8221; person, even called Pollyanna by some&#8230; so why is it that the life of my dreams wasn&#8217;t instantly manifesting?</p>
<p>What I didn&#8217;t realize then was that my unconscious or subconscious mind was wielding 90% of my power and yet&#8230; I wasn&#8217;t properly accessing it to alter it&#8217;s programming.  When I found this quote this morning on Facebook, I couldn&#8217;t help but share it:</p>

If it is not what you want,  then you have created it unconsciously, but still you created it. When  you can see this you will understand how powerful you are at creating.  And now all you have to do is create what you want, consciously!</p>

<p>With so many caught up in the hypnotic rhythm of the &#8220;bad economy&#8221;, the &#8220;recession&#8221;, the &#8220;depression&#8221; &#8211; it&#8217;s no wonder that many find themselves also caught in a terrible financial situation.  But, despite what you may want to believe&#8230; it&#8217;s NOT the economy&#8217;s fault, NOT the government&#8217;s fault nor the fault of the banks&#8230; it&#8217;s the result of your subconscious, creating EXACTLY what you believe.  You create your own experience whether you want to accept it or not.</p>
<p>The challenge is to change your experience to be what you truly desire.  And to do that you have to harness your true power &#8211; your power to co-create.  It&#8217;s not as simple as &#8220;changing&#8221; your thinking.  Especially since many of your &#8220;thoughts&#8221; emanate from your subconscious mind.  And many of us remain unconscious to those thoughts.</p>
<p>But, there are things we can do to harness our power and attract abundance.  Here are just a few ideas:</p>
<p><em><strong>1. Be an observer&#8230; </strong></em>watch for your &#8220;feelings&#8221; &#8211; your feelings are a reflection of your inner thoughts &#8211; your subconscious thoughts.  Before they manifest into emotions &#8211; you can assess your feelings and have a pretty clear idea of what you are subconsciously thinking.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px">EX] &#8211; feeling anxious &#8211; what is it that you fear?  What is it that may be a limiting belief leading you to have that fear?</p>
<p><em><strong>2.  Meditate </strong></em>- to make a closer connection with your higher self.  Just getting in touch with your inner light can help to strengthen the connection with the Universe.  This will heighten your awareness of your feelings and thereby your subconscious thoughts as well.</p>
<p><em><strong>3.  Ask yourself empowering questions.</strong></em> Noah St. John calls this &#8220;afformations&#8221;.  Many of us are used to affirmations but&#8230; have also seen or experienced the negative results from them.  You can&#8217;t trick your brain anymore than you can trick the Law of Attraction!  You cannot make it believe a lie and therefore produce magnificent results for you.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px">Ex] &#8211; You look in the mirror and state clearly with conviction &#8211; &#8221; I am rich&#8221; &#8211; now.. how do you feel?  Like &#8211; Nah&#8230; I&#8217;m not rich, I&#8217;m struggling to pay the bills.  Say it again&#8230; different result?  Nope</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px">Now try this &#8211; look in the mirror and ASK &#8211; &#8220;Why am I so wealthy?&#8221; &#8211; now&#8230; how do you feel?  Like &#8211; hmmm&#8230;. I&#8217;ve got a great family, I&#8217;ve got a wonderful home, I live in a great country&#8230; etc.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s the beauty of asking empowering questions or using &#8220;afformations&#8221; instead of affirmations.  When you ask questions&#8230; your brain MUST start searching for the answer.  So, when you propose positive empowering questions you start to retrain the brain to search for the &#8220;good&#8221; the &#8220;positive&#8221; the reasons that you are wealthy. Your outer experience then will reflect what you are &#8220;predominantly&#8221; thinking, so you just have to shift your 90% power machine (the subconscious mind) to predominantly thinking in the direction of your desires.</p>
<p>Pretty cool &#8211; huh?  Now, don&#8217;t go using it against yourself and asking those negative questions that we so frequently do &#8220;unconsciously&#8221; like&#8230; &#8220;why am I so broke? &#8211; find yourself thinking that&#8230; or even stating it aloud -shift your focus &#8211; ask instead &#8220;why am I so wealthy?&#8221;</p>

<p>Each day I work to offer positive change to others. When I am upbeat and happy, others see the value of that mindset. It&#8217;s easy to be happy!</p>

<p>To encourage others to change, I show them the value of my own transformation. The more I show them my inner beauty and happiness, the more they want what I have. As I transform myself, others around me want to improve too. <strong><em>Through intentional growth, I can improve the world, one person at a time.</em></strong></p>
<p>Self-improvement is important to me. As I grow, I see more of the good in others. Every change I make brings me closer to the person I truly want to be. I enjoy finding new ways to do things better. <strong><em>Each day, I focus on being the best &#8220;me&#8221; I can be. </em></strong>If I have a setback, I regroup and try again because discouragement has no place in my life.</p>
<p>I understand that everyone makes mistakes. I avoid getting frustrated if I fail to do something just right. <strong><em>As long as I am growing, I am happy, even if my changes are small.</em></strong> Seeing my good works affect the lives of others brings me great joy.</p>
<p>Today, I am the positive change I want to see in others.</p>
